DMCA Notice for Akewe

Akewe Media Nigeria Limited (“Akewe”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and strives to ensure that the content we provide is in compliance with copyright laws. 2. Response to DMCA Notice

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the alleged infringing material.
  • Notify the alleged infringer (the user who uploaded or posted the content) of the complaint.
  • Provide the alleged infringer an opportunity to file a counter-notice if they believe the material was removed or disabled by mistake.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. To file a counter-notice, please provide the following information:

a. Identification of the Material

A description of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, including the URL(s) where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.

b. Statement of Good Faith Belief

A statement that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.

c. Contact Information

Your full legal name, address, phone number, and email address.

d. Consent to Jurisdiction

A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which your address is located (or the Northern District of California if your address is outside the United States) and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.

e. Signature

Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will restore the material in question unless the copyright holder provides us with notice of an action to seek a court order preventing the restoration of the material.

4. Repeat Infringers

Akewe reserves the right to terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright law. We may implement a policy to remove content from users who repeatedly post infringing content or who violate the terms of our Terms of Use.
