The latest episode of the BBNaija No Loose Guard reunion, which premiered on June 23, 2025, has left fans buzzing with revelations about the real reasons behind the breakup of one of the show’s most talked-about friendships. DJ Flow, one of the housemates, took center stage as she explained why she ended her decade-long friendship with Ruthie.

DJ Flow and Ruthie had been close friends for ten years, sharing countless memories and supporting each other through thick and thin.

Many fans believed that their bond would only grow stronger after entering the BBNaija house together. However, the reality turned out to be very different.

During the reunion, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the charismatic host of BBNaija, asked DJ Flow about the fallout with Ruthie. DJ Flow did not hold back as she shared her side of the story, giving viewers a rare glimpse into the challenges of maintaining friendships under the intense spotlight of reality TV.

DJ Flow has always been known for her calm and composed personality. She explained that even before coming on the show, she and Ruthie had discussed how she would handle any drama that might arise.

“You know me. You know say I no go respond even if dem dey drag me, I no go respond, not to talk of someone else. It’s not my fight; why should I respond?”

She made it clear that she does not like getting involved in unnecessary conflicts, especially on social media, and that Ruthie was aware of this.

According to DJ Flow, everything changed when Ruthie gave an interview and made comments about her. This was the turning point that made DJ Flow realize that their friendship could not continue.

“But I think what really did it for me was the interview she had. When I saw that she did an interview speaking on me, I needed a reason. I needed to understand where she was coming from, and that interview just really did it for me and made me realise that I might have love for this person, but I feel like we’ve gotten to a point in life where we should just go our separate ways and that this person is just not good for my energy anymore, and that’s perfectly fine.”

DJ Flow shared that she has no regrets about ending the friendship. She believes that people come into our lives for a reason and a season, and sometimes, it is necessary to move on for one’s own peace of mind.

“I try not to have regrets, but I just truly believe that as much as I cherish what we had for 10 years, I also have the belief that at the end of the day, we go through life with people, not completely do life with these people.”

Even though DJ Flow has chosen to end the friendship, she still cares about Ruthie and is willing to support her from a distance. However, she is firm about not getting involved in any drama or public disputes.

“I can have your back and support you, but I don’t have to go into a fight with you.”
