In what promises to be one of the most captivating cultural events of the yearLagos is set to honour Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka with a vibrant, three-day musical extravaganza titled ‘Echoes of a Noble Warrior’ as the world marks his 91st birthday. The city, renowned for its pulsating energy and deep artistic heritage, will transform into a stage celebrating the life, works, and enduring influence of one of Nigeria’s most illustrious sons.

“Wole Soyinka is not just a literary icon; he is a living legend whose words and actions have shaped the conscience of a nation,” said one of the event organizers, highlighting the deep reverence for the playwright, poet, and activist.

From July 13th to 15th, Lagosians and visitors from across the globe will be treated to a rich tapestry of performances and discussions that pay tribute to Soyinka’s legacy.
